Fatal Fury’s Blue Mary will be joining the ranks of The King of Fighters XIV’s diverse character roster with update 3.00, developer SNK has announced.

The latest update will include four additional characters in total, although Blue Mary was one of the most requested by fans, said lead producer Yasusuki Oda, in a post on the PlayStation Blog. Oda-san has strong ties to the character, as he was instrumental in her creation for her debut in 1995’s Fatal Fury 3, after which she made the transition to The King of Fighters series in 1997.

The King of Fighters XIV update 3.00 will go live on April 12 and also features an array of balance changes, plus the chance to recreate the legendary ’97 Special Team. You can check out Blue Mary strutting her stuff in the trailer below.

The King of Fighters XIV was released on PlayStation 4 in 2016 and made the jump to PC the following year.
