Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam, the digital expansion multiplayer pack for DICE’s hit FPS, will be released exclusively at the EA Store and Steam on December 18 for PC and on December 21 on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network.

The expansion will be available on PC at all participating digital service providers on December 21, 2010.

Fans will enter battles as either a US Marine or as a member of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) through varied, hostile terrain on four all-new multiplayer maps, playable in classic Battlefield modes including Conquest and Rush. In addition to new maps, players will have access to new weapons, vehicles, achievements and trophies.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam will be available for £9.99 or 1200 MS Points.

Having sold six million units since its release in March 2010, Bad Company 2 clearly has a strong player-base to sell to.

At £10 the multiplayer expansion also seems perfectly priced, and should prove hard to resist.

EA is also cleverly tempting lapsed players back to the game with December 1 release of VIP Map Pack 7, offering four free multiplayer maps never before seen in Bad Company 2. This should ensure players are ready and waiting for Vietnam.
