The First Descendant dev provides preview of major feature coming soon before Season 3 update

The First Descendant Season 3 will arrive in June, which is also when support for the game ends on PS4 and Xbox One. So far, the devs have teased a “bikini skin” for a character very popular for two big obvious reasons, and Nexon has also confirmed that we will learn about Season 3 during a presentation at PAX EAST. While the PAX EAST livestream isn’t too far away, Nexon has just given a preview of a major feature coming to The First Descendant soon and before the Season 3 update.

As part of The First Descendant Discord AMA, TFD_Director_Jooms was asked if there is “content that’s actively being developed in some way to bring players together”.

In response, Jooms revealed that Nexon “are preparing to introduce a Party Finder system with the May 22 update”. This will allow players “to set preferred tags and recruit party members, and the system will recommend players with similar tags”. The goal of this system is to “support those who wish to enjoy party play by making it easier to find companions through detailed settings”.

Alongside the above explanation, Jooms provided two screenshots of the system that is being developed. It’s important to note that these screenshots are “from an incomplete build, and some English translations are still missing”.

In another message, the director elaborated that, “In the Party Finder menu, you will be able to set preferences based on language, region, and network speed”.

This upcoming feature is fantastic news, and it’s not the only thing set to arrive in May. As also confirmed by Jooms, the update for the Season 2 Episode 2 new Abyss colossus is scheduled for May 22nd, and jiggle physics are set to come out in May too.
