Odds on The First Descendant fans getting free Ultimate Descendant look bleak as less than 200K pre-register for Season 3

Although we must wait until August for The First Descendant Season 3 to arrive, Nexon are planning to keep TFD players busy. We are soon getting a new batch of swimsuit skins to celebrate summer, and right now players can get over 40 free rewards, including a popular skin that is very sinful. While freebies are great, unfortunately, the odds on The First Descendant fans getting a free Ultimate Descendant look bleak as not enough people are pre-registering for Season 3.

The First Descendant pre-registration numbers look bleak

Following an appearance at Summer Game Fest, Nexon opened pre-registrations for The First Descendant. The goal is to get 1-million pre-registrations in total, and below are all of the tiered rewards:

In addition to all the above rewards, reaching the total of 1-million pre-registrations would reward participants with a free Ultimate Descendant.  You’d be sent a coupon code to the email you pre-registered with, and you’d be able to choose between Ultimate Viessa, Lepic, or Ajax.

Unfortunately, the odds of reaching 1-million pre-registrations seem massively slim. Although pre-registrations started on June 6th, less than 200K players have pre-registered as of June 24th. The graph doesn’t show a solid number, so all we know is that the total number of pre-registrations so far fall somewhere between 50K and less than 200K.

Seeing as we only have until August 7th to reach 1-million pre-registrations, the chances of it happening seem close to zero. It was already a tall order with the game’s player count on Steam now less than 10K daily but not even passing 200K is disappointing.
