The Finals recently received patch 2.6.0. On the surface, this update will be remembered for adding the brand new 5v5 Terminal Attack mode. While this is the biggest part of the patch, there are many more important aspects included. One of these important aspects is a significant store update that should be huge for The Finals community moving forward

You can check out the full update 2.6.0 patch notes to see everything included. There’s way more than just a new mode as there are massive changes to Ranked tournaments along with improvements to the game’s anti-cheat security. In addition, there are huge nerfs that many players are not happy about.

In addition to nerfs and changes to Ranked tournaments, an easily missed part of the patch notes is an update to the store. This isn’t complete yet, but it should be massive for the community as we move forward into Season 3 and beyond.

The Finals patch 2.6.0 store update

Below is The Finals store update included in the 2.6.0 patch notes:

  • Players can now purchase single items within a Bundle (in one bundle to start, as a test)
  • There’s now an equip button in the store rewards screen

The ability to ‘purchase single items with a bundle’ is massive. As per the patch notes, it’s only for one bundle right now as a test, but, presuming everything is dandy, it should be hugely beneficial to fans when it applies to all bundles.

The obvious benefit is that you will be able to buy individual items as opposed to an entire collection. This should save you money/credits if you only want one specific cosmetic or weapon.

Reacting to this store update, fans have heaped praise saying ‘Bravo Embark‘. Per the comments, the bundle it applies to right now is ‘the new one with the M60 skin in it’.

Fans are very happy with this update, the only complaint so far is that they ‘wish it was for a better bundle’. However, even though it’s not the best bundle, the option to buy individual items is welcomed and working.

One user bought the only thing they liked which was the pants, meanwhile, another user only bought the jacket. This shows the potential of this update moving forward as it should add value to all bundles including ones mostly dismissed as ugly.

Again, it only applies to one bundle so far as a test. We do not know if it will only apply to new bundles in the future, or if Embark will add it to all previously released bundles, too.
