Since launch, The Finals has become one of the most popular shooters around, and they’re gearing up for their next season with a quick patch – Update 1.11.0. It won’t change too much, but is confirmed to be the final patch of Season 1, so if you’re making the most of it while it’s still here, then it’s important info you’ll want to pay attention to.
First, the Smoking Guns event has been extended for one more week. The event has proven incredibly popular with players so far, and the team at Embark Studios are keen to let players keep going while they wait for Season 2.
And not only that, the Pearlstrike Revolver skin is making its way to the store, and will be absolutely free while the event is still going on. So make sure to log in and get it for yourself while it’s still available.
It’s also the end of the Community Event. And with over $250 billion cashed out during the week it was active, players have blasted through the target and are set to receive a special in-game reward when the patch goes live.
As well as all this, there have been a couple of small patches added. A bug that caused teams to spawn too close to each other or the objective has been patched. Another bug that has caused players’ games to crash when heading back to the main menu has also been fixed in this patch.
And if you come up against any new bugs in this patch, support for the game has been moved to the Embark Portal on the developer’s official website. This is to make it easier for the developers to keep on top of all the tickets that players are submitting.
It’s not a massive update, especially after some of the nerfs in the update a few weeks ago. But with players looking forward to the next season, this is more than enough to tide us over until it finally arrives.
