Media Molecule has confirmed in a rapid Q&A session with Game Informer that its planned beta for Dreams will still take place this year.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive title has been in the works for six years now, and while we've been drip-fed details fairly consistently, it's kept a pretty low profile when compared to other first-party games for Sony's console over the years.

Anyway, it's good to know the beta is still in the pipeline for this year, although a firm release date has yet to be announced. Furthermore, all your creations will carry over to the full game. Nice!

Elsewhere, the studio revealed that while PlayStation VR compatibility was originally planned as post-launch content, it'll now arrive on release day. Keyboard support is also confirmed, though it won't utilise a mouse.

Dreams is scheduled to launch exclusively for PS4 in 2019. Apparently, the ambitious project was a bit of a pain in the arse to work on for the team at times.
