Bandai Namco has released a new interview with The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes star Ashley Tisdale ahead of the game’s launch next month.

Similar to the one conducted with Shawn Ashmore for Man of Medan, the two-part interview has Tisdale talk about her role in the game. She plays Rachel King, a CIA Operative who’s sent to Iraq in 2003 on the hunt for chemical weapons. They eventually find themselves attacked by insurgents, and wind up underground where something deadly is hunts them both down.

Tisdale talks on her experience on the game during the chat, commenting how she’s more well known for comedies like Scary Movie 4. But she’d always wanted to do an action movie, apparently, and this gave her the chance to live that out. We also get a glimpse at the motion capture Tisdale and her fellow performers did as part of The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes.

The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes comes out on October 22 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. The next instalment is rumoured to be called The Devil in Me after a logo was spotted in July. We’ll find out for sure, presumably, at the end of this one.
