Ubisoft has announced that open-world racer The Crew 2 will feature a Season Pass that includes three new vehicles, including a Supermarine Spitfire MK IX.
That’s, you know, one of the most famous combat planes in aviation history, and a staple of the Royal Air Force during World War II.
Spare a thought for the Hawker Hurricane though, which actually did most of the donkey work in the Battle of Britain, but not many people knew that. ‘Cos the Spitfire was just a prettier plane.
Anyway, also joining the nimble fighter will be the Porsche 911 Turbo and ICE Marine Bladerunner 35.
Season Pass owners will also bag monthly vehicle additions seven days earlier than anyone else, with 22 promised in total. Rounding things off will be one exclusive house location as well as two exclusive outfits, and a 20% discount off The Crew 2’s in-game store.
The post-launch slate is looking pretty meaty too. Every three months, Ubisoft will roll out fresh content including extra vehicles, disciplines, modes, and features. Gator Rush will be first out the gate in September, and is a tropical-themed outing seeing players attempting to master a Hovercraft.
Ubisoft is also teasing a new PvP mode that will roll out in December, though further details have yet to be confirmed.
The Crew 2 is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on June 29.
