Ubisoft has announced it’ll be adding 60 FPS for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players of open world racer The Crew 2.

As spotted by Eurogamer, the update was actually first announced last week as part of the game’s fifth year of content. Despite the game launching all the way back in 2018, the team at Ubisoft’s Ivory Tower studio have been adding updates ever since. And that’ll continue this year, with more content and additions for players still zipping around The Crew 2‘s streets.

Ivory Tower will kick off this fifth season of content in July, with three seasons of new content promised. The first of these will be an American Legends season with Episode 1 dropping in July, which will be revealed in full later this evening. While they’re keeping further details under wraps for now, they’ll include new cars, new events and new rewards for players to unlock.

All formats will get to enjoy visual improvements to The Crew 2‘s weather systems and changes to the handling of some vehicles. However, those who play the game on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will also be able to enjoy their racing at 60FPS. The updates are now in the testing phase, and the team is “confident” the update will be ready for Year 5 in July.

Year 5 of The Crew 2 will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC in July. You can check out our original review of The Crew 2 from back in 2018 here, if you fancy.
