Update, July 19: They announced it. Stauffer played us like a goddamn Fiddle.

Original story, July 18: Earlier this week, fans of The Wolf Among Us (one of Telltale’s earlier games, in those heady times before it adapted The Walking Dead) got into a bit of a tizzy over a potential second season. Telltale’s head of creative communications has cleared up the confusion, and it turns out that, uh, there isn’t going to be one. Yet.

Telltale teased an announcement coming this week at Comic Con, which was retweeted by the voice actor Adam Harrington. Harrington voiced Bigby Wolf, the lead of TWAU, and isn’t very active on Twitter, save for RTing things about projects he’s involved in. We all put two and two together and got excited.

Head of creative communications, Job Stauffer, replied to a tweet from PlayStation LifeStyle showing that we were all unfortunately bad at maths, and that, strangely, voice actors can do more than one role for a studio.

Take heart, though: Stauffer also said the team at TT would ‘KILL to step back into that world some day.‘

This also means that the announcement at SDCC is likely to be a Guardians of the Galaxy related one, so good news for anyone who’s been enjoying TT’s take on that.
