Tecmo’s Tokobot made its debut on the PSP, offering a novel twist to the platforming genre that saw cute mini-mech companions called Tokobots combining to help solve puzzles and overcome obstacles.

New to the PlayStation 2 game are ten new stages specially designed for the console, and an upgraded treasure hunting mini-game that allows players to upgrade the Tokobots. The game also features exclusive new characters, including a rival called Instructor. We’re also told that there’ll be a total of 16 boss enemies, six of which are new to the PS2 game, plus an upgraded Time Attack mode.

Perhaps the best news is that the game will be released as a budget title, priced at only £19.99, and will be available for the PS2 across Europe in November. You can find out more about Tokobot by reading our review of the PSP game.
