Rocksteady has confirmed that its upcoming DC action adventure Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will make an appearance during tonight’s The Game Awards show.

While keeping specifics under wraps, creative director Sefton Hill confirms via Twitter that he’ll be there with the development team. He “can’t wait to share the mayhem with you all” and the studio promise the “good appetizers” for fans. Fingers crossed for some actual gameplay, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The game was first announced back in August of 2020 where it was confirmed as a part of the Arkhamverse. It’s kept relatively low key since then, but resurfaced a couple of months ago with a story trailer that also revealed some other familiar faces.

Suicide Squad: KTJL sees you play as the team of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot. They’re tasked by Amanda Waller to head to Metropolis on a dangerous mission. They’ll clash with Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and other heroes who’ve gone a bit evil, it seems.

We’ll know a little more after tonight’s show. The Game Awards will be broadcast live from LA at 12:30am UK time tonight. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League meanwhile is pencilled in for a 2022 launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
