Capcom has announced that beat-em-up Street Fighter V will get a ‘Definitive Update’ later this month.

The update will include a bunch of new features for the beat-em-up, including a number of graphical filters. A cel-shaded filter will give the game’s aesthetic vibe a more cartoonish tinge. Meanwhile, a new pixel filter will allow retro fans a taste of what it might have been like to play SFV in an arcade on a CRT monitor.

Elsewhere, the patch also adds a number of new tracksuit colours for all characters, and adds a number of remixed themes by Capjams. They’re the Capcom official band made up of sound team members. You’ll be able to check out their fresh takes on the themes of Dan, Luke, Akira, Rose and Ono.  And of course, the patch will feature a number of balance changes too, although these haven’t been detailed just yet.

There’s no word if the term ‘definitive’ means this will be the last major patch of Street Fighter V. Last month, Capcom confirmed Street Fighter 6 is in production with Ryu and Luke as it’s first characters. Well before that, however, there will be a Capcom Fighting Collection this June with ten classic beat-em-ups from the developer, including Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition.

Check out the trailer for the Street Fighter V Definitive Update below. It’ll be available to download for the game on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 29.
