With Street Fighter 6 having gone through a couple of open beta periods in the past few months, hardcore players have already gotten a good grasp of each character’s strengths and weaknesses. Now that the game’s been released, it seems that the meta is finally starting to settle and people are beginning to select the main characters they use when fighting against others in the Battle Hub.

Out of the entire Street Fighter 6 roster, it seems that the two most popular picks among those within the top ranked leagues are unsurprisingly Ken and JP. Based on the character distribution chart shared by u/Chalian_ through the SF subreddit, these two fighters have been the ones that players use the most as they took up 13% (129 players) and 11% (111 players) of the total data provided respectively.

Next, Ken and JP are succeeded by Juri at third with 7% (74 players) and Ryu at fourth with a similar percentage but a lesser player count. Manon and E. Honda are next up with both of them sitting at 7% (66 players) each. Afterwards, Kimberly and Luke both take the following spot as well since they each had 6% (61 players) of the total data, while Marisa sits solo right below them with a slightly lower percentage.

Three of the series’ most iconic characters in Guile, Cammy, and Chun-Li would then finally make their appearances in the bottom half of the distribution chart. They would be followed immediately by Dee Jay and Jamie, both of whom are sitting at 4% as well, but with lower player counts. Finally, the bottom four consists of a handful of iconic characters in Zangief, Blanka, Lily, and Dhalsim, with the latter being the least used fighter in the entire roster.

It’s worth noting, though, that these are merely the results for the top 1000 ranked players, meaning this chart doesn’t reflect the character distribution in the lower divisions. However, some have remarked that Ken is similarly popular in bottom tiers so a portion of this data may still ring true for some. No matter who you decide to choose as your main, however, the most important thing is to keep on practicing with the character you land on so you can start wiping the floor with other players.
