Square Enix has released a new trailer for the upcoming Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin DLC, entitled Trials of the Dragon King.

The new DLC is out on July 20th. Check out the trailer below:

The description reads:

“New content in The Trials of the Dragon King expansion includes: New Missions – After clearing the main storyline, players can dive into new missions and experience an original story featuring the Dragon King Bahamut.

“New Jobs and Weapon Type – In this DLC, the Pilgrim, Evoker and Summoner have been added as new jobs. Additionally, staves have been added as a new weapon type.

“Accessories – Players can now equip accessories, which grant various special effects and status improvements.

“Higher Difficulty Mode – In the expansion, players can engage in a new difficulty level called BAHAMUT. To play on BAHAMUT difficulty, players will need to have completed the main game.

“Players eager to continue their adventures alongside Jack, Ash and Jed can look forward to the release of two additional chapters coming later, entitled “Wanderer of the Rift” and ‘DIFFERENT FUTURE.’”

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was a strange game, indeed. And not a bad one at all. It reminded me of Devil May Cry, mainly because of all the swords. But also because its tone was ludicrous. People kept talking about wanting to “kill chaos.”

Square Enix has supported the game with various updates, since its release. Earlier this year, eight new jobs found their way into the game.
