Stellar Blade PS5 demo release date, time countdown – when you can download

Stellar Blade is an entirely new IP coming exclusively to PlayStation in April. The game has been hotly anticipated partly because of its female protagonist along with its stellar gameplay and combat. You can sample the game tomorrow, and here is the official release date and time countdown for when you can download the Stellar Blade demo on PS5.

There is lots for the PS5 community to anticipate. Sea of Thieves is coming to PlayStation 5 in April, too, and Sony loyalists can already enjoy the latest Sony console exclusive, Rise of the Ronin. In addition, PlayStation fans can look forward to the day when the Thaumaturge lands on console along with when Xbox hit Palworld comes to PS5, too.

While Sea of Thieves is the most pre-ordered game for PS5 next month, fans shouldn’t sleep on the upcoming console-exclusive Stellar Blade. It looks weird and zany, but it reportedly has fantastic combat which you will be able to sample as soon as tomorrow by downloading the demo on PS5 once the release date and time countdown ends.

The release date for the Stellar Blade PS5 demo is March 29th. This is confirmed by Sony in their PlayStation Blog post.

As for the full game, it doesn’t arrive until April 26th. If you pre-order, you will be able to preload from April 24th. Below are the editions, prices, and pre-order bonuses:

When does the Stellar Blade PS5 demo come out?

The release time for when the Stellar Blade demo will come out on PS5 is 7 AM PT/ 10 AM ET/ 2 PM GMT on March 29th.

Reports indicate the playable demo is roughly 2 hours long. It takes place at the very beginning of the game, so it’s similar to the playable sample released for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth back in February.

At the beginning of the game, Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne squad, is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from Naytiba. You will be able to play up to the first boss fight, and the gist of the demo is to get you experiencing the combat.

How to download Stellar Blade PS5 demo

You will be able to download the Stellar Blade PS5 demo from the PSN store once the release time passes. According to PlayStationSize on Twitter, the download size is 16.168 GB. This presumably comes from when the demo was accidentally uploaded earlier in the month before swiftly getting taken down.

If you play the demo and like it enough to buy the full game, the good news is that your progress will carry over come April 26th. And, when playing tomorrow, you will be able to enjoy smooth 60fps gameplay coupled with satisfying haptics from your DualSense controller.
