After several rumors of an event this month, Sony has now confirmed a State of Play for February 2026 via the PlayStation Blog. The presentation will begin at 2PM PST / 5PM EDT / 10PM GMT on February 12, and Sony has additionally revealed that it will run for “60+ minutes”.
While no specific games have been announced, Sony says the event will feature “news, gameplay updates, and announcements from game studios across the globe”. This includes “eye-catching third-party and indie games headed to PS5, along with the latest from teams at PlayStation Studios”. You will be able to watch the event live on PlayStation’s YouTube channel.
As for what might be shown, Hideo Kojima has teased that he is editing a new trailer, which is likely related to the Death Stranding 2 PC port leaked by PEGI back in November 2025. It’s also possible we could get another look at the PS5-exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine, especially with Wolverine expected to release in September to avoid GTA 6.
Speaking of GTA 6, don’t expect to see anything from the highly anticipated title, as Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that the game’s marketing campaign will begin this summer. Insider Shinobi602 has also stated that the previously leaked Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake will not appear, though its release is allegedly not “too far off”.
Other likely appearances include Resident Evil Requiem ahead of its February 27 release date, as well as Marathon before its launch on March 5. Crimson Desert is also locked in for a March 19 release after recently going gold, and State of Play would be an ideal venue to show more James Bond following 007 First Light’s delay to May.
There’s also hope we’ll see more of Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, as February 14 marks Lara Croft’s canonical birthday. Square Enix has teased that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will be revealed this year, and, although the director has confirmed the game is playable, a reveal seems more likely for an event such as Summer Game Fest.
