It’s fair to say that Starfield is promising a mass amount of exploration and player freedom that we’ve never really seen in a Bethesda RPG before. While news and speculation surrounding Starfield features and story elements continue to fly around, sometimes the most important details in any RPG are allowing players to carve out their own little area of the world and make it their own.

We’ve seen Starfield fans get obsessed over the most mundane things and even discuss where they’re going to settle down in their first base once the game launches. However, some recent speculation has brought up a more important aspect of RPGs that if done wrong can make all the effort of world-building feel subpar.

A recent tweet from Xbox News speculated that pictures on display in the Starfield Direct ship could possibly mean that photo mode images will be displayed in your player’s ship. This of course is pure speculation as there’s been no confirmation as to whether this is accurate. However, the idea of something so small like in-game pictures being displayed in your ship could really add a more personal feel to each player’s ship.

While many players are eager to shoot off into the galaxy and see what Starfield’s many planets have to offer there’s something to be said for ensuring your ship isn’t just customizable on the outside, but also on the inside. With some players having an aversion to crafting their own homes and given it’s more than likely an autopilot feature will be available in-game, explorers will probably be spending a lot of time in their ship. Small details like what was speculated above could really make Starfield one of the most unique player-led RPGs to date.

There’s definitely a cohort of players that despite having around 1000 planets available to them will want to create their own escape in Starfield’s living quarters. Hopefully, with the Starfield release date fast approaching players will be able to experience just that.
