Star Wars Outlaws takes players to many iconic planets from the franchise. With the game taking place between Episodes 5 and 6, there are many subtle references to the original trilogy with the events overlapping as the Rebel Alliance is fighting to take down the Galactic Empire. One of the planets that you can explore is Tatooine, known for being the home planet of the Skywalker family, and you can even visit some key locations from the movies.

U/call-lee-free took to Reddit to share screenshots of them at Luke Skywalker’s home on Tattooine which is featured in the first act of Episode 4: A New Hope. Lars Homestead is the location where we first encounter Luke Skywalker on the desert planet, where he often tinkers with electronics including trying to repair C3P0 and R2-D2 after his Uncle purchases the two droids, either not recognizing or choosing to not acknowledge that they once belonged to Luke’s father, and Owen’s stepbrother, Anakin two decades prior.
The screenshots show the Reddit user recreating iconic shots from A New Hope, including the camera angle where Aunt Beru speaking to Luke from the courtyard, as well as various shots of when Luke discovers the burning building following the Stormtroopers killing his Aunt and Uncle. As Star Wars Outlaws takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, only a few short years have passed since the events of A New Hope and the building remains largely as it had been left by Luke when he departed for Mos Eisley with Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Star Wars Outlaws is Ubisoft’s first foray with the Star Wars license and, despite some pre-launch criticism, the game has been enjoyable so far. The game brings a fresh take to the franchise, with some players praising it for not featuring an overpowered Jedi and instead allowing you to play as a regular person.
