EA and Respawn Entertainment have finally given fans an extensive preview of their intergalactic sequel through their final Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay trailer. With the game’s actual release only a couple of weeks away, the developers went all out in showing viewers what Cal Kestis is now capable of doing, much to the chagrin of Stormtroopers everywhere.

Now, even though these inaccurate, blaster-wielding troops are an ever-present part of the Star Wars universe, they make up just a small portion of the game’s enemies list. Other far more dangerous threats were put on full display throughout the rest of the short video, such as the deadly Rancor and the furry Wampas. Fortunately, our protagonist will be helped out periodically by other allies that make up the rest of the game’s cast and characters list.

With that said, the main talking point of the final Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay trailer was still the unique combat system that was shown. Spectators were particularly amazed by Cal’s Force powers, which have seemingly gotten stronger this time around. This increased proficiency is further evidenced by his newfound ability to use it on an opponent while riding a fast-moving Speeder.

But aside from showcasing the distinct fighting mechanics of the game, spectators were also given a glimpse of the breathtaking environments that make up Star Wars Jedi Survivor’s world. Though specific location names are yet to be provided by the developers, it seems like Cal Kestis will be traveling through a variety of different locales in order to progress through the story.

With numerous glowing game previews already available and the rich depth of content displayed throughout several snippets, it seems as if this sequel is set to surpass its predecessor in more ways than one. However, only time will tell if it becomes as celebrated as the first entry.
