DICE has confirmed an August 29 release for its upcoming Elite Corps update for Star Wars Battlefront II.

The meaty patch will add a host of new features for the troubled sci-fi shooter, including the 41st Elite Corps and 327th Star Corps troopers. As Star Wars aficionados will no doubt recall, both divisions took part in a number of key skirmishes in the Clone Wars, where they aided the likes of Yoda and Anakin Skywalker.

Expect to cough up 20,000 credits or 500 Crystals to kit yourself out in these fancy uniforms, which will be available for the Galactic Republic in Assault, Heavy, and Specialist classes.

Alternatively, DICE will be offering a bundle containing all three appearances for 40,000 Credits.

Elsewhere, Star Wars Battlefront II will be adding Ewok Hunt as a permanent addition to its roster, while the Naboo Palace Hangar map will be available in Blast and Custom Arcade matches.

The developer also confirmed pricing details for Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Anakin Skywalker, and Count Dooku, with all four targeting 35,000 Credits a piece.

There's a bunch more info available in the full patch notes, including the latest round of bug fixes.

Star Wars Battlefront II was released in November last year for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Recently, the game reintroduced Emperor Palpatine into the mix after players moaned that he was too powerful (he is a Sith Lord, but shooting people with lightning through walls is a bit much, to be fair).
