Emperor Palpatine is making a comeback to Star Wars Battlefront II as part of the game's latest update, developer DICE has confirmed.

The Dark Lord of the Sith was previously removed for about a month due to a nasty bug that allowed him to shoot Force lightning through walls. At the time however, it wasn't known when Palpy would be returning.

Fortunately these issues have been ironed out, so Palpatine plays more like he was intended as opposed to an over-powered supervillain.

In addition to the Emperor's return, DICE has brought back the Ewok Hunt mode and introduced a number of other bug fixes into the mix. Check out the list of patch notes for the full skinny on Battlefront II's latest update.

Star Wars Battlefront II was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in November last year, though didn't get off to the best of starts thanks to all the microtransaction controversy.

In fact, things got so bad that loot boxes were pulled from the sci-fi shooter and came back in revamped form a few months back.
