Splinter Cell: Blacklist will release on PlayStation 3 and PC as well as Xbox 360, Ubisoft has confirmed.

Ubisoft Toronto lifted the lid on the latest Splinter Cell during Microsoft’s E3 press conference earlier this evening.

The game sees Sam Fisher heading across the globe to take down a global terrorist organisation ‘Blacklist’.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be the first game in the series since Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to launch on multiple consoles simultaneously.

The previous Splinter Cell game, Splinter Cell: Conviction, was an Xbox 360-exclusive.

And the game that preceded that, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, was also a timed-exclusive to Microsoft’s console.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist launches in 2013. The first screenshots were released earlier today.
