So to help you out, here’s everything you need to know about the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo.

What time is the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo available & what time does it start and end?

The Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo has now opened up in preparation for this weekend’s Splatfest – although you can’t get into multiplayer just yet.

As of right now, you can play the tutorial to get acquainted with the controls and gameplay. You can also customise your Inkling/Octoling in Splatsville, and pick your Rock, Paper or Scissors team you’ll represent this weekend.

The actual Splatfest World Premiere will kick off from August 27 at 9am UK time. You’ll be able to play online with and against the world until later that evening – with the event wrapping at 9pm the same day.

The demo has been available to download since August 18, giving fans plenty of time to get on board.

What’s included in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo?

The main purpose of the Splatfest World Premiere demo is to showcase the upcoming game’s new Tricolor Turf War battles.

If you’re new to Splatoon, Splatfests are regular battles set by the dev team. The official account sets a fun question, such as “Ketchup or Mustard?” and players pick a side by choosing a team in game to represent their option.

They then take part in a special version of Turf War, where they must paint as much of an arena as they can to win. Only this time, the results go towards an overall team score between everyone playing for that team, before a winner is declared.

For Splatoon 3, they’re changing things up a bit by adding three options and thus, three teams into the mix. It’s sure to add a new dynamic to proceedings.

For the demo event, players will be fighting to represent either Rock, Paper or Scissors.

How big is the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo?

The Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo weighs in at 2.2GB and is available via the Nintendo eShop. You don’t need to have pre-ordered the game to get it either. (Though if you do want to do that, check out below to do so.)
