But since the developers have promised to continually add additional content through its pre-release phase, fans will most likely want to keep playing even after the credits roll. Because of this, players are wondering whether or not Sons of the Forest has new game plus.

If this is a question that has recently crossed your mind, then you’ve come to the right place. Here’s what we know about its new game plus availability.

Does Sons of the Forest have New Game Plus?

Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest will not have New Game Plus purely due to how the game is constructed. Its predecessor, entitled The Forest, similarly did not have this feature when it was released in 2014 so the sequel will most likely not have it as well.

Since it’s a cooperative survival horror title, most of its focus is on exploration, discovery, and survival so starting over is seemingly counterintuitive to its gameplay. Once you do finish the story, however, you should be able to continue right where you left off, which means you won’t have to start all over again.

Endnight Games will also be adding more content to the game as it’s still in its early access phase. This includes new weapons, items, enemies, and maybe even story elements. With this in mind, there will still be plenty to look forward to even if you finish the game quickly.
