Paramount Pictures has dropped the final trailer before the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie next month.

As the last trailer before release, this latest tease brings together everything we’ve seen of the movie so far. That includes Sonic himself, of course, once more voiced by Ben Schwartz. He’s joined once more by his human partner Tom played by James Marsden. However, this time he’s also bringing along Tails for the ride voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey.

Jim Carrey’s Dr Robotnik/Eggman returns from the previous movie, as does his lackey Agent Stone. But he’s also got some new baddie backup in tow in the form of Idris Elba’s Knuckles. All the above get a good showing in this final trailer, along with plenty of Badniks, Chaos Emeralds, flying egg machines and more.

Bank heists on the streets of New York, giant mechs and escaping from an avalanche on a snowboard, the movie certainly won’t be short on set pieces. Sega and Paramount will certainly be hoping the movie’s performance matches the success of the previous outing, which nabbed it the best-performing video game movie adaptation of all time in its opening weekend in the US.

A third movie is already in the works, as is a live-action TV series starring Knuckles. Before both of those though, the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie opens in UK theatres on April 1.
