Focus Interactive has launched the latest update for off-roading sim SnowRunner, with bespoke versions for Xbox Series X/S & PlayStation 5.

The new-gen updates come alongside the game’s Season 7, entitled: Compete & Conquer. Those who’ve stumped up for the Year 2 Pass can get their hands on a brand new region with a new summer map in this update in the form of Burning Mill, Tennessee. Here muddy drivers can find a large river, a village of tents and plenty of hot air balloons in the sky.

The new map is also home to a racing style arena. So naturally, look forward to plenty of dirt-chucking off road rally race activities to participate in. You can compete against friends or just the clock to set the best times, with two new vehicles to boot. There’s the Gor BY-4 Scout Car or the Sprinter 43-19 truck to get behind the wheel of.

As for those new gen-updates then, expect 4K resolution and 60FPS to treat your eyes to on the new consoles. If you already own the game on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you’ll get these updates as a free upgrade. And as a bonus addition, Season 7 also allows Nintendo Switch players into the cross-play pool for the first time.

You can check out a trailer for these updates below. Season 7 arrives today in SnowRunner on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. (At the time of writing, there’s a slight delay on the Xbox One version of the update, but the Twitter account says the team hopes to have the issue fixed soon.)
