Blue Isle Studios has announced Valley, a new first-person adventure heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year.

Described by the studio as a “first-person adventure like no other”, Valley sees players strapping into a powerful ‘L.E.A.F.’ exosuit to gain access to “exceptional speed and agility”, and the “phenomenal ability to manipulate life and death”, including the option to “give and take life away from any living thing”.

The game also promises a unique twist on death, with the world itself dying a little more each time the player dies.

“Hidden deep within a remote region of the Rocky Mountains, you find yourself bewildered within a secluded valley,” the game’s blurb says. “With the power of a recently discovered L.E.A.F. suit (Leap Effortlessly though Air Functionality), run and jump your way through beautiful forests, dangerous ruins and vast environments; all the while utilizing the power to control life and death to uncover the startling secrets of the mysterious valley.”

“After the success of Slender: The Arrival, we wanted to do something completely unique that offered players an amazing amount of freedom, and Valley is just that,” said Blue Isle’s CEO Alex Tintor. “This is an incredibly exciting project for us – something totally new and distinct, that we expect will intrigue players.”

Valley is due for release this summer on PS4, Xbox One and PC, although it isn’t yet clear whether the game will be limited to a digital release.
