Bethesda game director Todd Howard has stated that the graphical capabilities of hardware is very important to the development team that worked on games like Skyrim and Fallout 3.

When asked by Game Informer about whether Skyrim looks like he envisioned Elder Scrolls many years ago, Howard said that he usually imagines games using current technology, but also pointed out that technology is getting better and better.

“Obviously there’s going to be new systems and the graphics are going to get better and better,” said Howard. “Graphics are really important for what we do. So when there is some new system that makes graphics that much better, it will make for a better experience because we can make a more believable world.”

Howard also said that Skyrim players suffering from bugs have a right to be pissed off.
