During Ubisoft’s big showing at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo we got a look at Ubisoft Singapore’s Skull & Bones.

A CG trailer played during the show showing plenty of pirates doing piratey things like loading cannons, and looking at ships through telescopes.

Justin Farren, creative director of the game, took the stage and said that ‘piracy is dead’ in the Caribbean, so you’re on your sailing the Indian ocean looking to do all your piratey business.

The essence of Skull & Bones, we were told during the showcase, is apparently ‘a shared world where every encounter matters.’

During the trailer that played at the end of the S&B presentation we saw the player character pick bits and pieces for their ship such as cannons and the like. Naturally enough, there was also a lot of ship battling but, by the looks of things, you can also stealth past other ships by posing as pal pirates. That’s nice, isn’t it?

Skull & Bones will be out Spring 2019.

You can have a look at the gameplay trailer below in full.
