The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Ubisoft is developing a female-centric TV adaptation of Skull & Bones, despite the fact the swashbuckling adventure game isn’t even out yet.

According to the site, the Skull & Bones TV show will take place during the end of the 1700s across the sprawling Indian Ocean, during the closing years of the Golden Age of Piracy. The show’s pilot episode will be directed by Amanda Segel, who will also serve as executive producer alongside Andy Horwitz and Richard Suckle.

Not much else is known at this point, although the project is still in the early stages of production. As you might recall, the publisher also has a film based on The Division in the works, which will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain.

As for Skull & Bones itself, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will launch this year on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
