The Skate franchise was incredibly popular during the seventh generation before being abandoned following Skate 3. Since then, millions of gamers have been hoping for a new title to be released, with those dreams being crushed year after year, until EA finally announced in 2022 that a new Skate game was in development. Since then, the developers have been quiet, until now.

During Summer Games Fest we got a first look at pre-pre-alpha gameplay from the upcoming Skate game, following on from the playtest update from last month. In the trailer, we get to see groups of skaters performing tricks in the city, which is sure to bring back many memories for gamers.
