Sid Meier’s Railroads will put players in charge of their own railroad empire, with control over everything from steam-powered locomotives to modern trains. You’ll have to manage cargo and your bank balance while competing against other railroad entrepreneurs.
“In addition to winning countless awards, the Railroad Tycoon franchise pioneered the simulation and strategy genres by introducing limitless gameplay,” said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director of 2K Games. “Building on the franchise, Sid Meier’s Railroads! will deliver a simulation experience that caters to both strategy gamers and locomotive fans alike.”

As the game progresses cities and industries grow around the railway, enabling players to deliver goods to companies all over the land. As well as a large number of single-player scenarios, there’ll be real-time LAN and internet play. Expect more details on the game leading up to its autumn release.
