RTX 4070 release time speculation – when could it launch?

With the launch set for today, many are curious about a possible RTX 4070 release time. Without any confirmation of an exact time, we’re only going to be able to make predictions based on our past experiences with launches.

We’ve seen the RTX 4070 have its specs and price confirmed recently. However, nothing has been mentioned about the release time. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D launched last week, and we took successfully predicted the release time for that.

We’re going to use the same logic to get on top of the RTX 4070 release time, which essentially uses a pretty predictable release pattern that Nvidia and AMD tend to follow.

RTX 4070 release time prediction

The RTX 4070 release time is likely to be pretty similar to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D’s. For that CPU, we saw it launch at the following times:

— 2PM GMT / 3PM CET / 6:30PM IST / 9AM ET / 8AM CT / 6AM PT

We’ve seen this pattern observed by all of the other Nvidia graphics cards released recently, and all of AMD and Intel’s CPUs too.

This time is roughly based on the start of the working day in the US (9AM Eastern Time). If you’re in the UK – this translates to 2PM GMT.

There is no reason for Nvidia to stick to this time, as they could suddenly decide to break from tradition. However, there’s also no reason for them to do that. So, we’re going to safely assume that the RTX 4070 is going to be today at the above listed times.

It likely won’t be announced, but there’s a possibility that pre-orders go live in the hours before. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled in the case that this happens, as we’ll keep you updated.
