Publisher Nacon has announced that an FPS based on 80’s action classic RoboCop is coming from development studio Teyon entitled RoboCop: Rogue City.

Revealed during last night’s Nacon Connect event, there aren’t too many details at this early stage, except that it’ll be an original story set in the universe of the first three movies in the trilogy. (The 2014 reboot isn’t mentioned, probably quite sensibly.) You’ll naturally be stepping into the robotic boots of Alex Murphy as RoboCop himself, with your mission to protect the good people of Detroit.

Teyon has plenty of experience in 80’s movie tie-ins, also being responsible for 2019’s Terminator: Resistance (which got a PlayStation 5 upgrade earlier this year) and 2014’s Rambo: The Video Game. While neither of those titles got much in the way of critical acclaim, they’ll surely be hoping that the third time is the charm.

We’ve still got some time before we find out however, as RoboCop: Rogue City isn’t scheduled to launch on “PC and consoles” until some time in 2023. Until then, we guess it’s your move, creep. Check out the teaser trailer for yourself below.
