Roblox developer Maximillian has created an uncannily accurate Call of Duty clone called Frontlines. The free-to-play online FPS entry is currently playable through the popular game platform itself and includes a bevy of features that are similar to the Activision franchise.

After initially being released in February 2023, the game has started to gain traction recently as several content creators have now started making videos on the CoD copy. A popular MW2 YouTuber named jackfrags, who has never played Roblox before, couldn’t help but be amazed at the effort and attention to detail that was given to Frontlines in a recently uploaded gameplay clip.

At one point in the video, he mentions that the game reminds him of old school titles in the franchise like CoD 4. Frontlines also apparently allows players to customize their loadouts and weapons much like in a regular Call of Duty entry. There are numerous iconic weapons available within and the attachments for each one can also be changed depending on your preferences.

It also has several game modes that players can cycle through, like the always iconic Team Deathmatch and even Domination and Kill Confirmed. Several original features are similarly available within such as a Classic Minimap, shooting while sliding, Tactical Sprint, and non-instantaneous TTK. Even more significant are the relatively realistic avatars that players can take control of, which are a huge change from the typical Lego-like characters available in other Roblox games.

The developers are also continually adding new content to the game so more features will likely be introduced in the future. With all of this in mind, fans that have been looking for a classic CoD experience may actually enjoy this free-to-play offering from Roblox.
