Will Resident Evil 4 remake be getting a Day One patch? Here’s what we know.

Is there a Day One patch for Resident Evil 4 Remake?

Yes. There will be a patch for the Resident Evil 4 Remake. This information was confirmed by the game’s director Hirabayashi Yoshiaki.

While we don’t know the full extent of the fixes that’ll be included in the update, we do know it should make the weather effects a little less intense.

During a preview for the game by US outlet Game Informer, the reporters noted how heavy the rainfall appeared on screen, and while it looked atmospheric, the level of it did appear to obstruct the players view.

Fans were so concerned, the issue was brought up to Yoshiaki who was directly asked by Press Start about it. It’s here he confirmed a Day One patch would be coming.

“We’ve seen everyone’s reaction to the rain effects, and we are working on a day-one patch to make adjustments.”

Presumably, the Day One patch will include a number of other fixes and bugs – others including ORBIS patches are reporting the patch will be 4GB in size – but we’ve yet to confirm this ourselves, so take with a pinch of salt until then.
