Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 will allow players to unlock classic outfits for Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

The costumes are based on their iconic costumes from the original version of Resident Evil 2, with Claire sporting her 'Made in Heaven' jacket and biker shorts, while Leon has his classic R.P.D. uniform and 90s boy band hair.

I'm being really picky here just because I can, but Capcom forgot to give Claire some black sleeves on her outfit to complete her classic look. Other than that, it's nostalgia city.

There's no word on how you unlock these, although the original Resi 2 had hidden outfits that were accessed by obtaining a secret key from zombified S.T.A.R.S. member, Brad Vickers. You then used the key to unlock a closet in the dark room, giving you access to new outfits for both Leon and Claire, including a fast-firing revolver for the latter.

Resident Evil 2 already boasts a bunch of extra costumes, although these are acquired by purchasing the Deluxe or Collector's Edition of the game. You can check them out in action here

The game is due out on January 25, 2019 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
