Capcom has released another Resident Evil 2 trailer, but this one's a little different. It's actually a live-action video, and something of a tribute to the late, great George A. Romero, who directed a similar ad for the original Resident Evil 2 in Japan back in 1998.
The ad features both Leon and Claire attempting to survive against zombie hordes in Raccoon City's infested police department, and it looks pretty cool. Leon's curtains would make a mid-90s David Beckham jealous, and Claire looks the part, too.
Okay, so it's a bit odd that there's a Windows 7 laptop in the front of a cop car, but there we go.
Romero's ad was quite similar, and featured a young (and now, sadly departed) Brad Renfro as the idealistic rookie cop, again running around a zombie-infested RPD.
Resident Evil 2 is released tomorrow on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Being VideoGamer's resident, erm, Resident Evil nut, I reviewed it and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Okay, there's a few things I miss from the original game, but it's still a fundamentally fantastic horror romp.
