Saber Interactive has announced that WipEout-inspired racer Redout 2 will arrive on May 26 on consoles and PC.

34BigThings’ anti-gravity racer will launch with a whopping 36 tracks when it arrives later this month. All of these courses can also be raced in reverse too, doubling the number of routes to 72. Players can also look forward to an extensive single player campaign too, on top of its other game modes. These include Arena Races, Time Attacks, Last Man Standing and Boss Races to name a few.

Naturally, there’s competitive multiplayer here too. The studio promises it’ll keep things fresh by introducing regular new custom content and seasons – of course featuring bonus rewards. Speaking of rewards, they’re likely to be related to customising your racer. So it’s handy there’s 12 distinct chassis and a range of options to make your hovership your own. You’ll also get to show off your ship in the game’s dedicated photo mode.

And of course, there’s the electronica soundtrack which features tunes from artists like Giogio Moroder, Zardonic and Dance with the Dead. You can check out all this and more in the game’s release date trailer down below.

Redout 2 arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 26. If you missed the previous gameplay trailer, you can find that over here.
