Ratchet & Clank: Nexus, an all-new single-player title for PS3, will be released this Christmas, Insomniac Games has announced.
The game is described as a single-player epilogue to the Future series of games: Tools of Destruction, Quest For Booty, and A Crack in Time.
In the US the game is titled ‘Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus’.
“Into the Nexus has a bunch of crazy new weapons and gadgets,” explained Insomniac community lead James Stevenson. “Gravity is one of the themes of Into the Nexus: you’ll experience zero-g space, you’ll use gravity-defying new gadgets, and you’ll manipulate gravity to solve brand new Clank puzzles.”
The game will also be released at a budget price of $29.99 at retail and on PSN. UK pricing has yet to be announced.
It’s great to see Sony continuing to support the PS3, but you have to wonder if the strong current-gen line-up will make it easier for gamers to stick with the PS3 instead of buying a PS4.
Beyond, Gran Turismo 6 and the new Ratchet & Clank, plus all the third-party titles will make for a great holiday line-up.
