Ubisoft has announced delays to two of its upcoming games, with Rainbow Six: Extraction now pencilled in for January 2022 and Riders Republic pushed just over a month to October 28.

Both games posted on their respective websites announcing their delays. Rainbow Six Extraction‘s message read “We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022. We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play.”

Open world extreme sports game Riders Republic‘s own delay is slightly shorter, with the game originally intending to launch on September 2. Its update claimed that the delay: “will give us more time to fine tune the experience and give you another chance to jump in before launch and provide feedback.”  The studio also promised more information on the game’s upcoming beta in the coming months.

Speaking on both delays, a statement from Ubisoft said “The goal with the decision to delay both of these games is to give more opportunities for players to test, play firsthand and give feedback to ensure we are bringing the best experiences to market and allow them to reach their full potential. We believe the new release schedules will allow us to achieve that goal. This is the right decision for our players and for the long-term performance of our games.”

It’s not the first delay for either game of course, with Riders Republic previously being delayed back in January. Rainbow Six Extraction has been through an extended development before it settled on its current moniker back in June. Both games are expected to launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC when they arrive.
