Bliss Island is a fun and compulsive game of skill created by Pompom Software (Space Tripper, Mutant Storm) which first appeared as a web mini-game, and then as a PC title available from more than 100 casual gaming portals. The PSP version hopes to extend the game’s unique gotta-have-another-go gameplay.

You’ll take control of a cute blue creature called Hoshi who can project precision puffs of air from his trunk. Hoshi uses this skill to compete in a series of challenges with his fluffy friends Gaston, Ebba and Miki.

In the game more than 80 challenges are there to be beaten, with a unique control system comprising of only the analogue stick and an action button. Each game is a test of skill that revolves around keeping kinetic objects moving.

Some of the games you’ll compete in include Fruit Slam Dunk, in which you’ll have to bounce fruit into the hungry mouth of the Jigoka monster; Fluffy Mayhem, where you have to save flowers from swarms of aphids; and Brick Invaders, where you have to smash marching boulders into pieces.

The game also includes wireless multiplayer modes so you can take part against some friends.

Bliss Island is scheduled to arrive on the PSP early in 2007.
