PlayStation subscribers have a fantastic month ahead! The PS Plus April 2025 Essentials are available to grab right now, and they include the excellent, must-play RoboCop Rogue City. Then we are set to the get the Extra additions very soon, with a day-one release already confirmed. However, before the Extra and Premium additions arrive, PS Plus is adding the best reviewed game of 2025 for free early.
PS Plus Extra add best reviewed game of 2025 early
Before the PS Plus Extra and Premium additions arrive on April 15th, Sony is adding Blue Prince to Extra early on April 10th for free. Blue Prince was already exciting enough as former Sony Interactive Entertainment president, Shuhei Yoshida, dubbed it a GOTY 2025 candidate.
It appears Yoshida was correct because, right now, Blue Prince is the best reviewed game of 2025 so far with a total of 92 on Metacritic. It sits just ahead of Split Fiction which has 91, Monster Hunter Wilds at 88, and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 at 88.
There’s the possibility the aggregate could change as more reviews arrive, but, right now, Blue Prince is the best reviewed game of the year. For those not in the know, the game is an indie adventure where you must complete an assortment of puzzles in an everchanging labyrinth, similar to the nefarious H.H. Holmes’ Murder Castle.
We absolutely cannot wait for Blue Prince to arrive, and, if you are subscribed to either PS Plus Extra or Premium, you will get to play it for free. If you are not subscribed, then you will have to pay for the game, although there is no price listed on either the PSN store or Steam as of writing.
The rest of the PS Plus Extra and Premium games should be revealed on April 9th, with them then releasing on April 15th. So far, all we know of is a day-one release for Lost Records Rage and Bloom Tape 2.

In other PS Plus news, another day-one release from Max Payne developer is confirmed for summer. Subscribers should also make sure to buy a great game now for £3.99 to get its upcoming UE5 remaster for free.
