Counter Strike 2’s launch was preceded by pros concerned with the game’s tentative state. Before it was officially launched, players who has spent time in the Limited Test had been claiming that it was in no fit state for competitive play. A mix of cheaters and bugs lent themselves to the narrative that CS2 was not ready, however it’s here now. Its launch has seen a massive influx of players returning to the franchise, so much so that the servers were not equipped for the load for a while – meaning that queue times were through the roof for a while. All of these things have prompted professional CS players to warn that the game is simply not ready for tournaments – only further solidified by the fact a hit-box glitch has been discovered that makes players immune to gunfire.

The latest Counter Strike 2 glitch of note can be made use of by simply looking down. It appears that players crouching and looking down towards the ground are immune to headshots – which is a pretty game-breaking issue. Already being shared across Steam community hubs and Reddit threads, there’s a sense of doubt within the CS community that is pretty condemning for the game.

“Spraying in CS2 felt so broken,” says NAF’s Keith Markovic, while N0RB3R7’s David Daniyelyan has simply put that it’s “not ready for competitive.”

IEM Sydney kicks off on October 20th, only eleven days from the time of writing. Professional players had been warning of the game’s state since even before the game’s launch, and now that yet another game-changing bug has been found it only makes the case worse for Valve. Players within the community are calling for all these issues to be solved, though nobody really knows when the next Counter Strike 2 patch is going to be.

You can check out the glitch for yourself in Counter Strike 2 by crouching and looking down – you will then be immune to head-shots.
