Portal 3 rumours are now circulating through the gaming community after an eagle-eyed user observed that a few key Valve employees were seemingly working on an as yet unannounced title.

Based on the snippets of information that’s been provided so far, the upcoming project will allegedly feature “ambitious, never-before seen gameplay” along with innovative puzzles that should entertain its players.

These details were apparently gathered from the LinkedIn pages of two specific Valve staff members, namely Boyang Zhu and Michael Anderson. The former is an artist who, according to their work history, is currently working on an undisclosed title at the same company. The latter, on the other hand, was a level designer at Valve who similarly helped with the development of an unannounced title.

Although both individuals’ projects are seemingly unrelated, the time frame and scope of their respective projects seemed to be too much of a coincidence, thus inevitably leading to the current Portal 3 rumours spreading through social media. Other gamers, however, are theorizing that the upcoming creation will instead revolve around a completely different IP.

A handful of users also can’t help but comment on the unpredictability of Valve’s release strategy. Their recent announcement of CS2 is a prime example of their irregular launch plans as the follow-up to their popular multiplayer FPS title was revealed without so much as a hint in the months leading up to its announcement.

Whatever the upcoming title may be, it’s safe to say that the community has become increasingly excited with the list of Valve projects that are set to be released. Whether they live up to the hype or not, however, is the only thing that remains to be seen.
