Sony’s recently announced Cross Buy promotion is currently only confirmed for Europe, SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has told Famitsu (via Andriasang).
Announced at gamescom last week, the Cross Buy initiative gifts buyers of certain PlayStation 3 titles with the same game on Vita. Currently the games included in the offer are PlayStation All-Stars, Ratchet and Clank: Q Force, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
Yoshida also revealed his thoughts on the Vita. According to the SCE Worldwide Studios president, consumers are happy with the hardware but want more software and additional functionality.
While Yoshida stated that Cross Buy is currently only for Europe, it’s surely only a matter of time before the scheme is announced for other territories.
