Atlas West has announced that Persona 5 Royal will be heading to Xbox consoles, PlayStation 5 and PC in October.

The expanded 2019 RPG will be heading to more platforms later this year to mark the series’ 25th anniversary. Originally releasing on the PlayStation 4 and selling 1.4 million copies in its first three months, the Royal version includes new characters, new storylines, new locations and much more. It’s also not the only game in the series to make the jump to Xbox.

In fact, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable will also make their way to Xbox consoles for the first time at some point after. All three games will be available via Xbox Game Pass, giving many fans their first chance to try the school-set RPG series.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series, each game follows a different set of students who unlock magical powers based on Personas. These are beings based on a person’s psyche and character traits – although they take different forms depending on the game. For example, Persona 3‘s were based on Roman myths, while Persona 4 used Japanese deities. Most recent entry Persona 5, meanwhile, saw Personas take the form of thieves and outlaws.

Persona 5 Royal will be the first to launch on October 21, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PC. They’ll then be followed by Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, but no exact date has yet been given. For now, you can check out the trailer for all three below.
