ParaWorld has been kicking around for a while now, but this latest delay means it will miss its planned August release, but not by much. Set in a parallel world (hence the name ParaWorld) between a prehistoric time where dinosaurs are king and our world back in the 19th century, the game certainly seems like it will offer something a little different.

Players get to control the Norsemen, Dustriders and the Dragon Clan tribes, with each offering a unique set of skills. As you progress through the early part of the game’s 16 scenarios the tribe you control will be picked for you, but in later stages the player must choose the tribe most adept in dealing with the level scenario ahead.

Each scenario also features a number of side quests which, together with the option to play through later stages with different tribes, should ensure there is some replay value once the player has been though the game for the first time. The game will also feature multiplayer modes, where up to eight players can battle each other in more than fifteen levels. Modes include, Deathmatch, Defender (one player against everyone else), and Domination (CTF).

No firm release date has been mentioned, but the game should arrive in early September. We’ll bring you a solid release date as soon as it’s announced.
